Frequently Asked Questions

Are cleansing balms good for removing makeup?

  • Yes! Cleansing balms are excellent for removing makeup because they are formulated with oils that can help easily break down stubborn makeup. Cleansing balms do not strip the skin of natural oils and can leave the skin feeling soft and hydrated. Their rich, creamy texture helps to break down makeup and dirt, while the nourishing, skin-loving ingredients help to soothe and hydrate the skin.

Should you wash your face after using a makeup melting cleansing balm?

  • Yes, it is highly recommended to use a face cleanser after using a cleansing balm. While cleansing balms are great at removing makeup, dirt, and impurities from the skin, they can leave a thin layer of residue behind. Using a face cleanser after a cleansing balm helps to ensure that all traces of the balm are removed from the skin, helping to leave it feeling clean and refreshed.

How do I use the e.l.f. Holy Hydration! Makeup Melting Cleansing Balm?

  • To use a cleansing balm, scoop out a dime-size amount of the balm and massage it onto the face, while keeping your eyes closed and focusing on areas with the most makeup. Then, wet your hands and continue to massage the balm into a lather. Rinse off with warm water, and pat dry. Your skin will be left feeling clean. For best results, follow with a facial cleanser and lightweight moisturizer.

Does the e.l.f. Holy Hydration! Makeup Melting Cleansing Balm remove waterproof mascara?

  • Yes! Cleansing balms are effective in removing waterproof mascara, as they can break down the waterproof formula, making it easier to remove.
